Our Erasmus experience!!

Fifth week   This week we decided to meet together to eat something. We chose to eat a Burger  because Paula and Amaia recommended this restaurant. The food was delicious, later we decided to go for a coffee and some shopping.  Dominika   During this week Amaia's mother had her birthday so on wednesday we went to the thai restaurant. We ate sushi, shrimp and pad thai. The food was amazing. The best thing inside was the food brought for us by the cat robot. On Sunday we still celebrate the birthday and we go again to the restaurant this Time with all famili. I met everyone, her grandpa, cousins and aunt. We were in a typical bask restaurant, in this region they eat a lot of meat so except for shrimps and squids, there was a steak with goat milk. This week was very interesting, I'm very grateful that I was able to try all these things.  Alicja   This week Paula finished her exams, so we had more time to spend outside. Fourth week   That's half of our exchange.  We can't believe how fast time flies here.  This week was really hot and had perfect weather.  We also had our Monday off from school because of the carnival. Dominika On monday we decided to spend this time in the village. Amaia and her family have another house out of the city, in the garden they grow a lot of plants and also they have chickens and ducks so they don’t have to buy eggs. In this village they also have a swimming pool so we decided to go to swim for the first time this year. The water was like ice so we didn't spend too much time inside.  Alicja On Monday, I and Paula had to study. Paula also had dance lessons, so I went to a cafe in the city's main square. During the week we didn't do anything interesting, because we had a lot of things to do for school. On Friday and Saturday we met with Paula's friends.

  Dominika It was a special week because of the carnaval , on Saturday when I was going to the gym I was in shock because the whole town was preparing for the carnaval night. Since morning a lot of people were walking in the costume. All families or even old people have some special costume, here it is a national Day but I was not except this.  In the evening with Amaia and her friends we went out to the place where all the young people were spending the Time. All the group of friends have some costume like football players, princess’s , pirates , animals or police. It was like hallowen in poland but here every one was taking part in this special Day. Alicja This week it was carnival so everyone from the beginning of the week was just talking about it.  On Thursday, me and Paula went to buy our costumes.  There was a really great selection.  I was shocked because here everyone dressed up and older and younger.  On Friday we met with Paula's friends.  On Saturday afternoon, we were

Dominika During the second week we were preparing for the carnaval, we did a lot of shopping. It’s really nice that we live in the center of the city because we have every shop very close to our house. On Saturday I went with Amaia and her 3 friends from school to Ainara’s house to prepare our history project about Fernando 7. We were going by tram so I saw the rest of the city. My free Time I spend walking on the streets and trying some cafe. Alicja During the second week we had a lot of things to do at school like a history project and a math exam. After school I went to the gym or cafe to study. On Friday Paula and I met with her friends. Paula’s grandfather had a birthday on Saturday, so I,  Paula, her sister and mother went to her grandparents house. Her grandmother made us a delicious Spanish dish - Paella. After dinner we met with Paula’s friends.On Sunday we stayed at home because we had to study for exams and do our homework.

  First week   On Monday 31 of January we had our flight, first we traveled to Frankfurt, then we finally flew to Bilbao. When we arrived Amaia’s and Paula’s family took us to their home. It was the most stressful week because everything was new for us. On Tuesday we went to school for the first time. Every teacher and student was very kind because everyone wanted to meet us and they were asking us about a lot of things. Dominika During the first week I saw the most important place in the town. I like the city because it’s a lot of pretty buildings and restaurants. It's a very touristic place, during the weekend all the city is partying too late hour. In school we are making a lot of different projects from spanish, history and biology. On Friday evening Amaia took me to her friends and we were spending Time with them together.   Alicja   During the first week I went for a walk with Paula. She showed me the center and  the old town. Vitoria is a very beautiful and clean city. Paula

  Ninth weekend: Paula: On Friday we had a sleepover in Alicja’s house with her friends. We danced and finished watching ”too hot to handle” with Alicja’s sister. We danced and talked all night, and we all slept in Alicja’s room. It was so fun. The next morning, I said goodbye to some of Alicja’s friends and they were so nice. They even gifted me some chocolates. In the afternoon, Alicja’s friends, Dominika and Amaia went to the Christmas market to see the lights. They were so beautiful. We took some pictures and said goodbye to Dominika and Amaia. Then, we went to Alicja’s friend’s house and saw the mundial match with her parents. Finally, I said goodbye to other friends and they were so nice and cute. On Sunday, we went to Alicja’s grandparents’ house to celebrate her grandfather’s birthday. We ate some traditional food and talked. Ninth weekend:  Amaia: On Saturday, we went to Dominika’s grandfather, and we had dinner all together. They were nice, and they had a fat cat that was sle
