Later on we went to the planetarium, which was really interesting because we were playing with a volcano

On the third week, when we arrived at school they told us that on Friday we would have a trip to a caravan exposition. We were so excited, because that was the first time that we would have a whole day trip.  This week was pretty normal for both of us, mainly because we were doing a lot of presentations for Erasmus or for the Spanish students. It was interesting but Spanish teachers also gave us some homework so we were busy doing some writings for basque or drawing the old town for history. When Friday arrived, we were so happy, because on that trip we had coffee and a lot of free food. Also they gave pencils, pens, key rings…

Paula: Third weekend:   On the third weekend, on Friday, Dominika had to do something special so Amaia came with Alicja, Alicja’s friends and me to eat a Pizza in the street. We ended up in Bar-A-Boo and that pizza was one of the best pizzas I have ever tried. Later, we all went to this huge park and we spent all the afternoon talking and listening to music on the grass. The day after, Ala asked me if I wanted to go to Ala’s friend's sleepover and we stayed till midnight talking and listening to music. We also took a walk and do stupid things in the night. But somehow it was a really good sleepover. On Sunday, I went with Ala and Ala’s friend to see the old town and eat in Mister pancakes, some good pancakes with banana and nutella. I really enjoyed that walk and the food was really good, so I would hardly recommend that restaurant if you came to Poland. Amaia: Third weekend: This weekend we did a lot of things. First, in Friday, the trip to the Nazi museum, we went Ala, Paula, D

Second week at school

This week was our first week with our special timetables, without Ala and Dominika. It was so weird for us because on Monday’s we have 3 hours in the library, and we have to spend them doing homework from Spain. All this week we realized that we have to spend a lot of hours helping the Spanish teacher with the language. Fortunately, Magdalena is a really good teacher and she was with us and trying to not make us uncomfortable. Which was really helpful. Also during the week we had 2 trips with the school; one to a cementery and the other to Nazi museum. As we didn’t understand Polish, one of our class, Mateusz, helped us explain everything in English. Anyways, the most important event that happened this week was the huge celebration of the teachers. For an hour and a half we were sitting down singing Poland’s hymn. They gave some flowers, gifts and little details to the teachers thanking them for their big work. Also, Alicja sang in the presentation, and we had some theaters and play

Paula: Second weekend: The second weekend, Alicja and I went to a really huge park to sit down and get to know Alicja’s friends. They were really nice and we spent a lot of time speaking about our childhood favorite series. We spent all the time sitting down on the grass till the night came. Later, we went to the house by train, and we had to show the ticket. On Sunday, we went with Alicja’s family to take a walk to one of the biggest parks in the whole of Poznań, we walked for 2 hours and after that we took a burger. The park was extremely beautiful, they had animals like squirrels and cats. Also, I must say that the burger was really delicious.  Amaia: Second weekend: We went to a museum called: Pałac Raczyńskich w. It was nice and so big. Then we had a walk to see some of the oldest oaks and they were enormous. Then we went home and we had lunch all together. In Sunday, Dominikas mum invited her sister and his husband to have lunch, and luckily they spoke English. They were so kin

First week at school

First week at school: The third day in Poland Amaia woke up at 6:00 am because she doesn’t live in the center of the city so she took a bus for 20 minutes and then a tranv for 5 minutes more or less. However, Paula had to take a train for 20 minutes, a tranv for 5 minutes and to finish a bus for another 5 minutes. When we arrived there was chaos, because for us everything was new and so different. This week was all the same, trying to make new friends and getting used to speaking in English.

First weekend

Paula: First weekend: After getting the suitcase, and meeting our host families, we went to the village. The first thing that surprised me was the size of this “village”. I mean, it doesn’t look like a village, it’s so big. Like Poznań, it’s much bigger than our city. After watching a little bit of the village, we went home to organize the wardrobe with Alicja’s help. After we ate dinner, and officially polish food is one of my favorites. Finally, we went to sleep a bit. On Sunday, Ala’s sister and I watched friends and we ate dinner with her grandparents, it was really entertaining. Talking about our different cultures and getting to know each other more.  Amaia: First weekend: The first day, the day that we arrived to Poland, was Saturday. I spent all the afternoon organizing my closet and talking with Dominika. Before having lunch I took a shower. Since the first day in Poland I fell in love with the food, and luckily the mother of Dominika is a perfect chef.  The second day we went

The flight

The flight: First things first, we’re in Poland, wow. We woke up at 3 am to arrive at Bilbo's airport at 4. So the tiredness didn’t really help me. When we arrived in Frankfurt, we started listening to some Deutsch. Amaia and I were so proud of ourselves because we could understand the basics. After sleeping on an uncomfortable chair we took the second and smallest plane. Where they gave us a lot of free chocolate and with them we did a pyramid. T
