First weekend

Paula:

First weekend:

After getting the suitcase, and meeting our host families, we went to the village. The first thing that surprised me was the size of this “village”. I mean, it doesn’t look like a village, it’s so big. Like Poznań, it’s much bigger than our city. After watching a little bit of the village, we went home to organize the wardrobe with Alicja’s help. After we ate dinner, and officially polish food is one of my favorites. Finally, we went to sleep a bit. On Sunday, Ala’s sister and I watched friends and we ate dinner with her grandparents, it was really entertaining. Talking about our different cultures and getting to know each other more. 



Amaia:

First weekend:

The first day, the day that we arrived to Poland, was Saturday. I spent all the afternoon organizing my closet and talking with Dominika. Before having lunch I took a shower. Since the first day in Poland I fell in love with the food, and luckily the mother of Dominika is a perfect chef. 


The second day we went to do a little tour in Poznan, and then we went to 2 museums  about the history of Poland and about Saint Martin croissants. Then we went home and we had lunch. In the afternoon I took a shower and I also prepared everything because the next day was our first day in the school.

Sixth week

Sixth week Dominika The Time is going so fast, only 2 weeks and we will be gone. This week I have a lot of work at my polish school so during the week I don't do anything interesting but on the weekend I go out with Ala to walk around the city and spend the Time on one street where there are all the pubs, next I go to the amaia’s friends. On Saturday I decided to go to the art museum in Vitoria, but this type of modern art it’s not my favorite so I am not the biggest fan of this museum.  Alicja This week I had a lot of things to do for my school and school here, so I didn't do anything interesting. On Friday and Saturday we met with Paula and her friends at her friend's. On Sunday we went to Bilbao with Paula and her dad. On the way we visited the town of Mundaka, where we saw the coast and the beach with lots of surfers. Then we went to visit San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. It is a beautiful island that we had to walk down to and then climb up the stairs. The return was the wors...

Fourth week

Fourth week   That's half of our exchange.  We can't believe how fast time flies here.  This week was really hot and had perfect weather.  We also had our Monday off from school because of the carnival. Dominika On monday we decided to spend this time in the village. Amaia and her family have another house out of the city, in the garden they grow a lot of plants and also they have chickens and ducks so they don’t have to buy eggs. In this village they also have a swimming pool so we decided to go to swim for the first time this year. The water was like ice so we didn't spend too much time inside.  Alicja On Monday, I and Paula had to study. Paula also had dance lessons, so I went to a cafe in the city's main square. During the week we didn't do anything interesting, because we had a lot of things to do for school. On Friday and Saturday we met with Paula's friends.

Second week

Dominika During the second week we were preparing for the carnaval, we did a lot of shopping. It’s really nice that we live in the center of the city because we have every shop very close to our house. On Saturday I went with Amaia and her 3 friends from school to Ainara’s house to prepare our history project about Fernando 7. We were going by tram so I saw the rest of the city. My free Time I spend walking on the streets and trying some cafe. Alicja During the second week we had a lot of things to do at school like a history project and a math exam. After school I went to the gym or cafe to study. On Friday Paula and I met with her friends. Paula’s grandfather had a birthday on Saturday, so I,  Paula, her sister and mother went to her grandparents house. Her grandmother made us a delicious Spanish dish - Paella. After dinner we met with Paula’s friends.On Sunday we stayed at home because we had to study for exams and do our homework.
